Ticket sales to the Blues Music Awards are critical to financing the event and The Blues Foundation throughout the year. We encourage all Blues fans, including those who are also "media" to purchase tickets to the show so we can contiune to make it the best evening possible for the nominees and all in attendance.
Given the openess of this particular event and of the Blues community in general, the current practice is that "special access" is generally not necessary or appropriate.
If you purchase a ticket, you will have access to musicians, and you will have a seat and dinner.
The photography policy for 2007 will revert to the policy in place prior to 2004. Attendees will not be allowed to take photos from in front of the stage due to the impact on the ticketholders in the front rows. A few official photographers will be allowed to shoot during the show. Photos will still be allowed at the pre-party.
With few exceptions, everyone who wishes to attend will have to purchase a ticket in order to attend the event.
