Newly installed in the Legendary Rhythm & Blues Cruise gallery on the 1st floor for the Blues Hall of Fame Museum, Icons is a collection of vibrant and striking original paintings of blues musicians from B.B. King and Bo Diddley to Bonnie Raitt and Stevie Ray Vaughan. Maness’ work has been featured on album covers, movie posters, and magazines around the world including the 2006 and 2007 Blues Music Awards posters. In 2010 Maness received The Blues Foundation’s Keeping the Blues Alive Award which honors those who have made significant contributions to the Blues.
Michael will be in attendance at the museum for a meet and greet. Artists depicted in his work are expected to attend and sign their painting.
The reception is free and open to the public. Admission to the museum is free for Blues Foundation members.
