Founded in 1984, the Blues Archive is the sole academic research collection dedicated to the Blues. This library is located in Farley Hall on the campus of the University of Mississippi. The Blues Archive enables the study of Blues for Ole Miss students and researchers from around the globe. It is most renowned for the music collections maintained by the John Williams Library Systems. The Archive also houses an oral history collection from other blues researchers. Inquiries from leading Blues labels and magazines have kept the Archive in touch with the latest in Blues publishing.
