Gary Wagners Nothin but the Blues radio show has been the heart of the blues in Southern California since 1992. His show runs every Saturday and Sunday afternoon on KKJZ. In 2012, the station dropped the Saturday show in favor of jazz programming. Wagners fans stepped in to prove their support, and contributed more than $93,000 during Wagners summer pledge drive. The Saturday blues gig is back on KKJZ! In addition to hosting his show, Wagner served as host and emcee of the iconic Long Beach Blues Festival from 1994 through 2000. His style is summed up by this quote: The space between the songs is where I live. The thing that makes it magic is not knowing whats going to happen next. That means I have to figure out what to do next. Thats the magic of being live.
