Jas Obrecht has written about blues musicians for such noted publications as Living Blues, Blues Revue, Rolling Stone and Victrola & 78 Journal. Jas serves as the senior editor for GuitarPlayer. He has authored most of the Guitar Player’s premiere blues feature articles, as well as cover stories on John Lee Hooker, Otis Rush, Muddy Waters, B.B. King, Buddy Guy and Albert Collins. When he’s not trying to beat down the print media deadlines, Jas can be found engaging in the other creative forms of journalism. He is editor and main author Blues Guitar: The Men Who Made The Music and co-author of James A. Hendrix’s forthcoming memoirs, My Son Jimi.
