Started in 1994, the KVBA’s mission is to promote the history of Blues music through musical events, education programs, and support of its local Blues musicians and venues. A nonprofit, all-volunteer organization, the KVBA presents an annual festival and music scholarship, offers year-round Blues education programs at public schools and libraries, and publishes a monthly newsletter.
