A picture is worth a thousand words. To capturing the Blues is to capture emotion, expectations and years of actively living life. Born in Sioux Falls, South Dakota over four decades ago, Mark Norberg can see the Blues and transfer his vision to film. From ‘Baseball and Blues’ at the Verve Gallery in Los Angeles in 1992 to photographs in the Blues Heaven Foundation Archive Collection, he has visually captured the sound of the Blues. In 1996, Mark was awarded the Art Director’s Club 75th Annual Exhibition Merit Award for the cover of Black & White Blues. The same cover won him a ‘Best Book Cover Design’ Award later that year.
