Peter Carlsons Sagebrush Productions has produced a body of blues DVDs that are a must for every blues lover around the world. In addition to performance DVDs, five core DVD biographies showcase Junior Wells, Son Seals, Pinetop Perkins, Magic Slim, and Bobby Rush. These programs offer biographical details, performance films, and oral histories from friends and acquaintances. The Junior Wells DVD was Carlsons first in the blues. After Wells’ death in 1998, Carlson filmed the tribute show in Chicago featuring stars like Koko Taylor, Lonnie Brooks, and Magic Slim. He then produced a DVD/CD gospel program called Salute to the Masters, featuring Otis Clay, Tyrone Davis, and others. He also produced Wells last CD, Live Around the World, and Pinetop Perkins 2007 Grammy-nominated CD, Pinetop Perkins on the 88s: Live in Chicago. In 2008, the Pinetop Perkins and Son Seals DVDs were nominated for Blues Music Awards. Carlson is currently working on a 13-week TV series titled Talkin the Blues.
