Aside from writing for major music magazines in both the United States and England, Robert Gordon also is the author of several books including It Came from Memphis and the recent The King on the Road. Gordon directed the award-winning blues documentary All Day and All Night, featuring B.B. King and Rufus Thomas. He was nominated for a Grammy Award in 1998 for his liner notes in the Al Green box set Anthology, which he produced. Gordon lives in Memphis, Tenn., with his wife, Tara, and their two children.
